JOBS - Post-Doctoral Fellowship on the Value of Australia's Biological Collections (Canberra)

A Post-Doctoral Fellowship for one year is now available at the Crawford School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University.

The appointee will be based in Canberra and will work on a joint research project being conducted by the ANU and the CSIRO.

The research will develop a conceptual framework for the valuation and analysis of impact and policy options associated with Australia's biological collections as research and social infrastructure. An empirical study to estimate the value of potential policy changes will also be conducted.

The successful applicant will have a recently completed PhD in environmental or natural resource economics or a closely related field, and a willingness to be engaged in a multi-disciplinary research team. Experience in market and non-market valuation would be advantageous.

This research is a joint initiative of the Environmental Economics Research Hub and the Taxonomy Research & Information Network. Funding for these Hubs is provided by the Australian Department of Environment
Water Heritage and the Arts under the Commonwealth Environmental Research Facilities Program.
