&lt;p&gt;The European Distributed Institute of Taxonomy (EDIT) will organise its annual Summer School of Modern Taxonomy 2010 in Madeira,  Portugal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The main purpose of this summer school is to provide MSc- &amp;amp; PhD-level students with practical experience in modern taxonomy. To this end, in partnership with experienced taxonomists, field sampling will be accompanied by theory lectures to provide an in-depth understanding of current trends in modern taxonomy.&lt;/p&gt;

 <title>9th International Mycological Congress: the Biology of Fungi</title>
